Staying in 1970 for today’s album. It’s The Allman Brothers Band – Live at Ludlow Garage .
The album was recorded here in Cincinnati, at Ludlow Garage. This venue hosted quite a few concerts in the 1970s of then prominent bands.
It was re-opened in 2015 and I’ve seen quite a few artists there, details to follow in future posts.
I never saw The Allman Brothers Band live, but my wife Tara did! Something that she reminds me of on a regular basis!
Although the concert was recorded in 1970, my version of the album was the remastered triple album, released in 2016.
The connection with the Day 17 album is Duane Allman, who played on all but three of the tracks on Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs
If you look in the top left of most of my album a day photos, you’ll see a poster of the back of this album cover on the wall.
My favorite track of the album is Statesboro Blues, written by Blind Willie McTell
